Clare Mackie was raised on a farm in Scotland.  She spent her childhood surrounded by animals and grew to love drawing them.  Of her distinctive style, she states "It's very strange, but ever since I started drawing, I've looked at things in an odd way...".  Her work has been exhibited in many galleries including the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.  "Because smiles are contagious" characterizes her work and philosophy.
