Barbara Lavallee

After receiving her degree in Fine Arts, Barbara Lavallee a native of the Midwest went to Sitka, Alaska to teach art in a native boarding school. Described as a “painter of happy subjects,” Barbara’s work reflects her interest in people how they live and what they do. Her original paintings and limited edition reproductions are displayed in galleries throughout Alaska and the Pacific Northwest. She works in transparent watercolor to create whimsical stylized characters dressed in vibrant colors.
